Kameron Kay Jewelry Selling Tips

Easy Jewelry Projects

The simplest jewelry project requires very few tools and takes only minutes to make once you have the hang of it.  Beaded earrings are not only attractive, but they are simple to make and impress everyone around you.  To get started you need earring wires, head pins, beads and pliers.  You can purchase any of these items at your area craft store or online.

Have a variety of beads on hand.  It's best if you think of patterns while you are creating your earrings.  You will need to think about the earrings overall weight because earrings that are too heavy will drag on the ear lobes and be extremely uncomfortable to wear.

Making the earrings is simple.  Start with one head pin and place the beads of your choice onto the pin.  You can use spacers in between them to separate the beads and make them stand out.  Once you have the beads in place, you will use the pliers to bend the end of the pin into a small loop.  This loop is then attached to the earring wires to create the final product.

Another simple product is a beaded metal chain necklace.  Purchase lengths of chain from your craft store and cut it into small, equal sections.  You will also need some standard jewelry wire cut into small lengths.  Place the beads of choice onto the wires and then use pliers to bend each end into a loop.  Attach these bead sections to a length of chain and repeat the process.  Eventually, you end up with a gorgeous necklace that people will thing you've paid lots of money for.  You can surprise them with the news that you made it yourself!

Your jewelry-making hobby can go in many directions.  You can use your new hobby to make personal, thoughtful gifts or turn it into a profitable business.
